6 Best Fall Wreaths to buy now

Hi friends! When do you usually start putting up fall wreaths and porch decor? Did you know that the official start date for fall is September 22nd? No? I didn’t either until recently! I usually try to wait until September 1st! Here we are into late August and fall is coming around the corner whether we are ready or not! And now is the time to start thinking about buying a great autumn wreath for your front door for fall because the best ones usually sells out fast! I’ve searched the net for the 6 best ones to show you out there now and they all range from highs and lows in price. I am always drawn to wreaths that are much fuller, bigger in scale 24″ to 28″ because the fuller they are the better quality they are! Plus they just look much better scale wise on any front door! Think about it, you want to make a grand statement piece on your front door that just invites your friends and family in! I’ve tried to find different style of wreaths that may work with different paint colors of front doors. You always want a wreath that contrasts and stands out on a front door because otherwise what is the point of hanging a wreath if you can’t see it from the curb? Don’t you agree? I also tried to look for wreaths that look unique and not similar to what may already be out in stores. Those are the types of wreaths that are worth buying! All the links are numbered and posted for easy shopping for you! Have a great week friends! XO!

Friday Favorites!

Good morning friends! I’ve got another great round up for Friday Favorites and I think you’re going to love them like I do! Let’s talk about this darling summer dress with lemons on them! I fell in love with it the moment I laid eyes on it! Summer is not over with yet so this dress is perfect dress to wear now don’t you agree?! I recently took my kids to the zoo this summer and knew that I needed to have a purse that was hands free to keep up with my four year old son. Enter this chic & inexpensive backpack purse! It has enough room to pack a spare change of clothes for him and hold my wallet, keys and iphone! I currently have it in black and am now crushing hard on it in the carmel color! My kids had a very busy summer of swim lessons, soccer and lacrosse and I knew I needed something to help me make lunches pretty fast! So I bought an air fryer much to my in-laws suggestions and I am so happy I did! I love using it so much that I only wish that I bought it in this pretty white color with the gold hardware! I might actually want to leave it out all the time on the white countertop! Next item is this pretty garden cache pot! I love the traditional pattern and design on it! Add some white faux gardenias or white faux roses and voila! You have an instant and pretty floral arrangement! Do you shop a few months early for Christmas? Since I have three kids, I like to slowly buy things about six months in advance! It helps to alleviate the budget and the stress of Christmas shopping! I recently found this pretty gold initial necklace for $15 and I just know that it’s the perfect Christmas gift for both of my girls! I’ve linked the rest of my Friday Favorites for you to shop! Have a great weekend friends! XO!

Saves & Splurges!

Hi Friends! I’ve rounded up 3 different saves and splurges for you to go check out! I’ll start with the first one which is the 36″ round brass mirror for $350 for the splurge. The $80 save version is from Target and the only difference with it is that it is short by 34″ which isn’t that much! Next up is the rattan bell pendant lighting. I love the Serena and Lily one but it’s at a pricey $298 if budget isn’t a big deal for you? I’ve found the identical save option for you at this site for a steal at $80! Say whaaat?! What’s the difference you might ask? The splurge is smaller by 14″ in diameter and the save is by 16″ in diameter! For that alone, I would probably go for the save option to be honest with you! Last but not least is the faux fig tree! I currently have two in my house and to find the best realistically looking and affordable tree can be a challenge! But don’t worry, I’ve found you two great options! The splurge is this one for $300 and the save option is at $180. I have not found any differences in both faux fig trees as they are both six feet tall. I would say probably a slight difference would be on how full the top portion of the leaves are as the splurge does have a little bit more. And there you have it! I hope this helps you on the guess work if you are in the market for these home decor items! Have a great week friends! XO!

Friday Favorites!

Hi Friends! It’s TGIF! Thank God It’s Friday! 😉 I’ve rounded up some AMAZING finds to share with you today! This beautiful gray initial H blanket is a HERMES dupe! And I’ve found it on Amazon! It comes in 4 different colors! It’s on my list to eventually to buy as I seem to collect a lot of blankets! All five of us love to cuddle up with a good blanket and watch movies, take a long nap or read a great book! Next item is this rattan scallop coffee table tray! The scallop detail is so unique and looks gorgeous in the whitewash color! I highly recommend it!! I have always been in love with all things Parisian and french antiques for a long as I can remember! I just LOVE this fun photography with the floating pink bubbles! It is SO cute! Don’t you agree?! This blue and white color ceramic garden stool is such a classic to add to any home! I have one in my bedroom right next to my nightstand! I use it to put stacks of books on it when I’ve run out of space on my nightstand! Pretty and functional! Win-Win! Last week I was out of town, visiting family and shopping with an old high school friend when I spotted this pretty crystal wine goblet in the store! I was instantly smitten and figured that I would just grab them when I got back to my hometown. Big mistake. I had called all of the nearby stores and they were out of stock so I had to order them online! I just knew I should have grabbed them when I had the chance! Ah. You live and learn right friends? 😉 This white little box with brass handle top is such a nifty little coffee table accessory to have! It’s big enough to hide your tv remotes in it while making your coffee tabletop look stylish! I’ve been on the hunt forever for a traditional floor to ceiling length mirror and most of them can cost anywhere up to a thousand or more! This one is currently on sale for a little over $500! Such a steal!! Don’t wait too long to act on this one if you’re in the market for one! I hope you’ve enjoyed my round ups and the rest I’ve linked for you! I hope you have a great and relaxing weekend friends! XO!

Entertaining Must Haves!

I’ve always loved to entertain and have people over! When we finished the outdoor patio, I especially love hosting outdoors when the weather is really nice out! I recently started to really get into buying what I needed to make hosting go even more smoothly! Today, I am sharing my favorite items that I use to entertain! The two-tiered marble pedestal stands are amazing to put assorted desserts on them! They just look so elegant! I bought 4 to put one on each end of my large white kitchen island when hosting a lot of people! Cheese knives sets are always a must have! Gold, in my opinion just dresses up a basic cheese knives set! This wood and marble charcuterie board adds such character and I use it all of the time! Isn’t this brass 3 bowl condiment so darling? And this marble and glass cake cloche has multi-purpose functions! You can bake a small 8″ cake and let it sit under the cloche and stay fresh when ready to serve. You can also put an assortment of soft and hard cheeses to keep it from getting hard and bitter when left out too long. Or you can keep fresh baked cookies to display in it like a cookie jar too! However you use it, it serves as both decorative and functional for gatherings or every day living! Another great hosting recommendation is this marble wine chiller for times when you’re in a hurry and forgot to put your wine in the fridge before your gathering! So smart! I love having a simple ice bucket for outdoors and stashing several bottles of wine to keep cold but the ice always melts in the warm weather! So I came across this really neat insulated water bucket that keeps wine bottles AND ice cold up to 6 hours! GENIUS! You will always need a pretty cake stand and last but not least a great chip and dip platter! These are my top favorite serving items for gatherings and I hope these entertaining must haves will help you plan your next gatherings! XO!

Friday Favorites!

Hi Friends! I have another Friday Favorites post to share with you! This time I’ve got a few that I currently have that I just ADORE! The pair of light wash gray wooden cutting boards that I have on leaning on my stovetop backsplash perfectly coordinates with my white. It’s just light enough not to compete with the backsplash and stove area but looks like a timeless accent that’s been collected over time. Next I’ve got this electric diffuser that I recently stumbled over online by accident! I’ve been looking for one for many weeks to bring outside to put some essential oils in on the patio and could not find one that works on batteries for outdoor use. I am hoping this is the one! Then the next item I wanted to share with you is the sweater cardigan that I’ve worn for the past two years! It is so soft and the shape is still holding up well and there is not any pilling issues you commonly find with sweaters! This is such a great investment piece to add to your fall wardrobe! And how cute is this gold LOVE necklace?! I love anything that has the word LOVE spelled out on it! Now onto this iridescent wine glass, isn’t it just beautiful?! It really shimmers in the sun while sitting on the patio table for drinks with friends! I highly recommend ordering it for your next gathering with your loved ones! My husband and I love talking about traveling abroad and coming up with a bucket list while waiting until our youngest child gets a little older. This pink passport book holder comes in 10 different different colors and would be great for the five of us to choose from! Speaking of travel, I also wanted to share this cute weekend vibes carry on tote! Such a great carry-on option for the plane to hold your small roll up blanket, laptop, good book and that cute pink passport book! The rest of I’ve linked for you to check out, the mother of pearl hardware, a classic Kristin Hannah book, and the brass cookbook holder!

Friday Favorites!

Good morning friends!

I am so excited to share with you another one of my Friday Favorites! This time it is these beautiful white scalloped dining plate collection! It comes in a set of 4 which includes matching bowls, salad plates and dinner plates! And would you believe it that it is melamine?! The details on them are just so cute and feminine! As a mom of 3 young kids, I love that it’s kid friendly too! And I also love the fact that I can possibly host a future Thanksgiving dinner and my kids can eat on these and we don’t have to worry about breaking a dish! A total win-win on not sacrificing fancy or budget! Next item on my list is the Volcano Capri diffuser essential oil! I don’t burn candles as much as I used to because they now give me a headache. I started diffusing way back when my middle child was a curious toddler who used to climb and touch everything! Back then I was petrified of her getting burned or starting an accidental fire so I quit using scented candles for awhile. It’s been 6 years of diffusing essential oils and I haven’t looked back since! I love it and it’s safe to use around young children and pets and I don’t get headaches! Next item I absolutely adore and hoping to eventually add to my dish collection, are these leopard print appetizer plates! Aren’t they so chic?!! We all know that leopard is a neutral print so it goes with everything! This layered coin necklace I have shared in my instagram stories is so simple yet stylish to wear everyday and I absolutely love it! I can’t recommend it enough! The last item I wanted to share is this gorgeous summer maxi dress! I pretty much buy all of my dresses from their store because they are so figure flattering, unique and such a great addition to any wardrobe! I hope you liked my Friday Favorites Picks and I have the rest linked below for you! Have a great weekend friends! XO!

Friday Favorites!

Hi Friends!

I am starting a new blog series called Friday Favorites! These are either my very favorites things I own or favorite things I am currently crushing on! I’ve had my eye on this white little rosemead vase for months and then when I went to finally order it, it went out of stock! I was so disappointed! Then months later I finally came across it again and it was back in stock! I quickly ordered it! When it finally back came in I was so pleasantly surprised! It was just as delicate and pretty as I had thought it would be! I have it placed on my kitchen island next to my faux hydrangeas! It looks as it’s always been there! I am also getting a ton of use out of these marble charcuterie boards this summer! I use them all of the time!! And they clean well when you hand wash them too! Just make sure you don’t let them sit out overnight with food stains like strawberries or blueberries! I can just see those red pigments might have a harder time coming out later if you don’t wash them before bed! Another favorite thing I have are these blue melamine salad plate and bowl set! I first bought them last winter with just the bowl and salad plate so that it we could have many warm soups and sandwiches! They have held up so well through the dishwasher and seem to be pretty scratch resistant from my kids! I just recently picked up the matching dinner plates to add to the collection! I can’t highly recommend them enough! Especially if you have young kids like I do! My white Cancer mug is now one of my very favorite thing I reach for every single morning for my coffee! I even hand wash it so I can make sure I get to use it! I know it seems so silly but it fits perfectly under my nepresso machine and it’s personalized making it my favorite coffee cup even though I have a ton of unused coffee cups sitting in the cupboard! Last but not least, I shared a favorite summer reading book by Elin Hilderbrand! I read it on Springbreak and devoured it every free minute I got! It was THAT good! Below I’ve linked the rest of my Friday Favorites for you to go check out! I hope you will look forward to these every Friday like I do! Happy Weekend friends!!

4th Of July Tablescape!

Good morning friends!! I’ve finally put together my own idea of a 4th of July tablescape! I wanted to re-use a lot of things I already owned which was the silverwares, rattan chargers, my glass hurricane vases, mini glass votives for citronella candles and of course my textured white pillows for the host and hostess chairs. In order to make it holiday worthy, I did end up buying new plates and the mini American flags. I also didn’t want to overdo it with being too “theme-y”. I did want to buy something that I could re-use every year to be wallet friendly. Here is a funny little story on the hydrangeas centerpiece for the table! I had bought fresh bouquets a few days prior at Trader Joe’s and it was already wilted by the next day! 🙁 So I googled and tried the boiling water trick and it still didn’t perk right back up after a few hours so I ended up having to discard the whole bouquet in the trash bin! These photographed floral centerpieces are the faux ones I ran out and bought at Michael’s! I have no shame since I knew they would also hold up and photography well in this crazy Indiana humidity! 😉 I hope my 4th of July table setting will help inspire you with your very own table decorations for the 4th! I’ve provided all the shopping links for you below and the only exact items can’t link is the big glass hurricanes for the candles. Those I had bought probably 5 years ago from Pier One imports so I linked something else that is similar for you! Happy 4th of July friends! May your day be patriotic and celebratory!

XOXO!

Summer Outdoor entertaining!

I absolutely love dining alfresco in the summer time and now I am so happy that I get to do it in our very own backyard! The patio got poured, set and finished at the end of April. The patio table set was ordered back in late March and just now finally got the missing table delivered in early June! While waiting for all the big ticket items to arrive or be completed, I slowly ordered and collected all of the tabletop settings. Then last Thursday evening, I hosted a very small girls night in last week and took photos to share with you! It was so nice to get dressed up with friends and sit at a table that looked and felt fancy-like! We all sat at the table, drank light refreshments and ate off of the charcuterie board that I quickly made up! Laughter, good food & drinks with friends are the perfect recipe for summer outdoor entertaining! I am so glad summer is now finally here aren’t you?!

xo!

Side note: Everything linked below is what I used for the table set. The marble cake stand was given to me by a dear friend when we first moved into our new house so I linked a similar option for you! The vase is no longer available so I found a similar option and the flowers are fresh blooms from my local Trader Joe’s market!
